NOTE: By establishing a static shot I am able to focus and observe details and nuances, which I would never have paid attention to had they been occurring in front of me. This also permits the image to “breath”. My work observing & recording movement of the ocean began in 2012. Since then I have spent hours observing and recording the movement of oceans from different vantage points and at different times of day.

“Movement, chance, light, growth and decay are the life-blood of nature… When I work with a leaf, rock, stick, it is not just the material in itself, it is the opening into the process of life within and around it.When I leave it, these processes continue.”
